The first time I visited Lin and Daughters, I fell in love with the food.
When I learned more about the owner of the restaurant, Becky Lin, I knew that I wanted to help tell her story. This film is an exploration of two things that I believe to be integral to life itself: food and family. Becky is a first-time restauranteur who had a dream of opening a restaurant as an homage to her father and tribute to her daughters.
As a mother myself, I understand the balancing act that is necessary to both raise a child and chase big dreams, but all things are possible and the thread that runs through this film is love. This film is a love letter - to parenting, to sacrifice and to all of the daughters.
